Photochemical rearrangements of silylcyclopropenes: Cyclopropenes which afford pathways to allenes

The photochemically induced rearrangments of substituted 3,3-dimethyl-1-(trimethylsilyl) cyclopropenes (1c-f) provide an unusually efficient conversion to the corresponding allenes (2c-f). Evidence supportive of a non-carbenoid mechanism for the rearrange
