OBTENTION DE CYCLOPENTENONES PAR ACETOXYMERCURATION ET ECETOXYTHALLATION DE VINYLALLENES

Eight variously substituted vinylallenes were converted to cyclopentenones by acetoxymercuration (yields 50-80percent) and acetoxythallation (yields 25-68percent).These two reactions are rapid and purification of the products was easy.The demetallation step is particularly favourable and is spontaneous in acetic acid.The reaction of magnesiocuprates with the sulfonates of 4-ene 2-yne-1 ols is a rapid and simple method for tbe synthesis of vinylallenic hydrocarbons.
