A new flavanone, oresbiusin, in addition to seven known flavonoids, was isolated from the whole dried plant of Isodon oresbius (Labiatae) and identified using spectroscopic and chemical methods. The structure of the new flavanone was established as 6,7,8-trihydroxy-5-methoxyflavanone.
