Total synthesis of isodeoxypodophyllotoxin using the Me3Sn radical initiated carbocyclization

The lactone portion of the podophylotoxin framework was assembled from a free-radical carbocyclization reaction, and the target structure was constructed based on intramolecular Friedel-Crafts reaction.
