Photocycloaddition between 4,4-dimethyl-1-phenyl-2-pentyn-1-one (7) and the alkoxyalkenes 8 and 13 occurs in both the <2+2> and <3+2> fashions.Studies on the reaction of 7 and 13 indicate that formation of both types of product is quenched at the same rat
