Article abstract of DOI:10.1246/bcsj.60.2307

2,2'-Dihydroxy-6,6'-dimethylbiphenyl (1) was successfully resolved into its optically pure forms by the recrystallization of the diastereomeric salts derived from the hydrogenphosphate of 1 and cinchonidine or quinine.The dextrorotatory 1 was determined to have R-configuration.
