The CO hydrogenation over Cs-doped ZrO2 catalyst has been investigated for the direct synthesis of isobutene from synthesis gas. The Cs-doping by the deposition of metallic Cs remarkably enhanced only the isobutene production over ZrO2, while the Cs-doping by CsOH decreased the catalytic activity of ZrO2.
