with the 2.4 wt% Pd loading and trace Co showed excellent
catalytic performance in the selective conversion of FUR
to CPO. Strikingly, 99% FUR conversion and meanwhile
96% CPO selectivity were achieved at 120 °C under 3 MPa
H2 pressure for 12 h. The high yield of CPO resulted from
the confnement of core–shell structure and bimetallic syn-
ergistic efect. Moreover, this kind of core–shell catalyst
could also exhibit excellent stability and recyclability. This
strategy of the non-noble metal partially replacing the noble
metal can not only reduce catalyst costs, but also arouse
unique properties. The research reveals that the introduction
of bimetals can broaden the applications of MNP @ MOF
composites on the efcient biomass conversion.
