Our findings show that unlike the HDC process of
organic chlorides where the coupled products (C2-C5)
are the major ones, the examined Me3SiCHCl2 gives
a minor quantity of coupled products (Me3SiCH2-
CH2SiMe3; Me3SiCHCl-CHClSiMe3). The three
major organosilane products are Me3SiCH3,
Me3SiCH2Cl, and Me3SiCl.
