FSO2NHC(O)CFH2 was prepared by the reaction of FSO2NCO with monofluoroacetic acid with evolution of carbon dioxide. A study of the reactions of FSO2NHC(O)CFH2 and FSO2NHC(O)CF3 with PCl5 has resulted in the preparation and characterization of the compounds (Chemical Equation Presented) The reaction of FSO2N=CClCF3 with ammonia and several amines led to compounds of the general formula FSO2N=CCF3 where X = NH2, N(CH3)2, and N(C2H5)2. Partial hydrolysis of FSO2N=CClCF3 gave FSO2NHC(O)CF3. The compounds have been isolated and their structures characterized by infrared, nmr, and mass spectrometry and elemental analyses.
