A kinetic study of the photochemical rection of TTF with haloalkanes has been made.The results are largely in agreement with a mechanism suggested by Scott and co-workers, but some additional findings of fundamental importance were obtained.An improved photosynthesis of TTFCl_0.68 is reported.
