The Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons (HWE) olefination of 1-[(diethoxyphosphoryl)methyl]-4,5-bis(methoxycarbonyl)- 1H-1,2,3-triazole and 1-[(diethoxyphosphoryl)methyl]-5-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazole by means of aldehydes was found to be a convenient method for the preparation of functionalized 1-alkenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazoles in moderate to good yields and low Z/E stereoselectivity.
