Reaction of Mo(SBu^t)4 or Mo(SBu^t)2(CNBu^t)4 with CuBr(CNBu^t)3 or 'Pd(CNBu^t)2' gives mixed d⁴-d¹⁰ bimetal compounds; X-ray crystallographic studies have confirmed the presence of a highly delocalized MoS2Cu core in two conformational isomers of (Bu^tNC)4Mo(μ-SBu^t)2CuBr.
