Hexakis(t-butyl isocyanide)molybdenum(0) was prepared and reacted with alkyl halides to give ν²-iminoacyl Mo(II) complexes.An X-ray structural study of the product, Br revealed a distorted octahedral molecular structure, regarding the iminoacyl ligand as an unidentate ligand.An intensive bending (137 deg) of the t-butyl isocyanide trans to the ν²-iminoacyl ligand was salient.
