Palladium Chloride Specification

The Palladium Chloride, with the CAS registry number 7647-10-1 and EINECS registry number 231-596-2, has the IUPAC name of dichloropalladium. It is a kind of weak oxidizing agent with red-brown color. It is a common starting material in palladium chemistry–palladium-based catalysts are of particular value in organic synthesis. And the molecular formula of this chemical is PdCl2. If use and store in accordance with specifications, it will not decompose, and it is soluble in hydrochloric acid, ethanol, acetone, and hydrobromide.

The physical properties of Palladium Chloride are as followings: (1)H-Bond Donor: 0; (2)H-Bond Acceptor: 0; (3)Rotatable Bond Count: 0; (4)Exact Mass:175.841188; (5)MonoIsotopic Mass: 175.841188; (6)Topological Polar Surface Area: 0; (7)Heavy Atom Count: 3; (8)Formal Charge: 0; (9)Complexity: 2.8; (10)Isotope Atom Count: 0; (11)Defined Atom StereoCenter Count: 0; (12)Undefined Atom StereoCenter Count: 0; (13)Defined Bond StereoCenter Count: 0; (14)Undefined Bond StereoCenter Count: 0; (15)Covalently-Bonded Unit Count: 1.

Preparation: Put Palladium powder into the reactor filled with hydrochloric acid, then pass through air while stirring to oxidize it to chlorinated palladium solution. After solution purification, filtration, evaporation, cooling crystallization, centrifugal separation and drying, the product is obtained.

Uses of Palladium Chloride: (1)It is used to prepare pecial catalyst and molecular sieve. (2)It is used as analytical reagent. (3)It is used to make gas sensor.

You should be cautious while dealing with this chemical. It irritates to respiratory system and skin. It has risk of serious damage to eyes, and may cause sensitization by skin contact. Therefore, you had better take the following instructions: Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection, and in case of contacting with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

You can still convert the following datas into molecular structure:
