The Potassium aluminum tetrafluoride, with the CAS registry number 14484-69-6 and EINECS registry number 238-485-8, has the systematic name of potassium tetrafluoroaluminate(1-). And the molecular formula of this chemical is KAlF4. It is a kind of solid which is sensitive to moisture, and it is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents. Preparation of Potassium aluminum tetrafluoride: Hydrofluoric acid reacts with aluminium hydroxide, and gives hydrofluoaluminic acid. Then hydrofluoaluminic acid reacts with withpotassium hydroxide under a high temperature, and you can get the deesired product after a series of filtration, drying, fusing and smashing.
