History
The first commercial Corn oil for cooking purposes was extracted in 1898 and 1899 by machinery invented by Theodore Hudnut and Benjamin Hudnut of the Hudnut Hominy Company of Terre Haute, Indiana, and called "mazoil". Corn oil (CAS NO.8001-30-7) has a milder taste and is less expensive than most other types of vegetable oils. Corn agronomists have developed high-oil varieties; however, these varieties tend to show lower field yields, so they are not universally accepted by growers. Corn oil is also one source of biodiesel. Biodiesel is commonly made from soybean or rapeseed oils, but it is expected to become a greater source of biodiesel and a backup source in case of large-scale soybean crop failures. In addition, Corn oil (CAS NO.8001-30-7) can be stable under normal temperature and pressure conditions.It is not compatible with strong oxidizing agents, and you must not take it with incompatible materials. And also prevent it to broken down into hazardous decomposition products: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide.
Uses
Corn oil (CAS NO.8001-30-7) is a key ingredient in some margarines. Its main use is in cooking, where its high smoke point makes refined corn oil a valuable frying oil. Corn oil is also one source of biodiesel. It is sometimes used as a carrier for drug molecules in pharmaceutical preparations.

Corn oil (CAS NO.8001-30-7) is formed from corn crop (Zea mays) seeds by solvent extraction with bleaching, deodorization to remove free fatty acids, phospholipids, pigments, odor substances and other non-oil substances.
