Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 69841-77-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,9,8,4 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 69841-77:
(7*6)+(6*9)+(5*8)+(4*4)+(3*1)+(2*7)+(1*7)=176
176 % 10 = 6
So 69841-77-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

One step catalytic conversion of cellulose to sustainable chemicals utilizing cooperative ionic liquid pairs

Long, Jinxing,Guo, Bin,Li, Xuehui,Jiang, Yanbin,Wang, Furong,Tsang, Shik Chi,Wang, Lefu,Yu, Kai Man K.

, p. 2334 - 2338 (2011)

A 100% conversion of cellulose to industrially useful chemicals is, for the first time, achieved in a single pot reaction by the use of cooperative ionic liquid pairs for combined dissolution and catalytic degradation of cellulose, which overcomes the long intrinsic phase problem in the conversion of biomass to chemicals.

Methods of inhibiting the advanced glycosylation of proteins using tetramic and tetronic acids and compositions therefor

-

, (2008/06/13)

The present invention relates to compositions and methods for inhibiting nonenzymatic cross-linking (protein aging). Accordingly, a composition is disclosed which comprises substituted or unsubstituted tetramic and tetronic acids capable of inhibiting the formation of advanced glycosylation endproducts of target proteins by reacting with a carbonyl moiety of an early glycosylation product of such target proteins formed by their initial glycosylation. The method comprises contacting the target protein with the composition. Both industrial and therapeutic applications for the invention are envisioned, as food spoilage and animal protein aging can be treated.
