Magnetic-phase and incident wavelength dependent light scattering result from each magnetic phase of EuTe and are analyzed in terms of one-spin, one-phonon mechanisms for spin-dependent Raman scattering and compared with shell model calculations to yield new information on the phonon dispersion relations for europium telluride.
