Allyltrimethylsilane is catalytically isomerized to propenyltrimethylsilane when heated with diethylene(η5-indenyl)rhodium(I). Diallyldimethylsilane reacts stoichiometrically to form [(η2-CH2CHCH2)(η2-CH3CHCH)SiMe2 (η5-indenyl)rhodium(I)] (1) in 74% yield. 1H and 13C NMR data are reported for 1.
