4,17α-Dimethyl-4-aza-5-androsten-17β-ol-3-one, 4,17α-dimethyl-4-aza-5α-androstan-17β-ol-3-one, 4,17α-dimethyl-4-aza-5α-androstan-17β-ol, and their corresponding acetate esters were synthesized and compared for antimicrobial activity. 4,17α-Dimethyl-4-aza-5α-androstan-17β-ol acetate exhibited significant activity.
