The synthesis and properties of some unsaturated triazinylstilbene fluorescent brightening agents

Eleven unsaturated triazinylstilbene fluorescent brightening agents were synthesized. They were capable of copolymerization with styrene and acrylonitrile, giving colourless fluorescent polymers having good stability to wet treatments and solvents. The spectral and thermal properties, brightening effect on cotton and CIE coordinates were evaluated.
