Diacidobis(biguanidinium)rhodium(III)-complexes

The synthesis of salts of the complex cations [Rh(BigH+)2X2]+, where BigH C2H7N5; X = Cl−, Br−, I− NCS−, N3− or NO2− described. All are diamagnetic and octahedral. The dithiocyanato-, diazido- and dinitro- species have been characterised by i.r. spectra. Chemical and physical evidence indicates that the complexes have the cis-configuration.
