BackgroundEnergy-sealing devices may be useful to divide small pulmonary arteries (PAs) during video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) lobectomy. We evaluated the safety of PA branch sealing with an ultrasonic energy vessel-sealing device during VATS lobectomy.
