The stem-bark of Bleekeria vitiensis A. C, Smith contains traces of the oxindole alkaloid carapanaubine as well as isoreserpiline-ψ-indoxyl. The co-occurrence of these two compounds is of probable biosynthetic significance, representing alternative oxidative rearrangement products of the alkaloid isoreserpiline.
