Electric conduction in PVC-stabilized with dibutylin laurate–maleate has been investigated. In the low voltage region, the conduction was found to be due to thermally generated carriers. At higher voltages, the conduction mechanism was identified as Poole–Frenkel type. The charge carriers injected on the polymer surface from the electrodes was found to disappear and become the source of thermally stimulated discharge (TSD) current.
