A limited series of β-benzeneethanamines (I) was synthesized and evaluated to determine their antiinflammatory activity, and their ability to inhibit rat polymorphonuclear cell phospholipase-A2, ovine seminal vesicle prostaglandin synthetase, and rat basophilic leukemia cell 5-lipoxygenase.
