Summary1.A patient with history and physical findings of ingestion of Lysol was treated with oral procaine solution and ACTH.2.Marked dysphagia was overcome by procaine gargles and swallows before meals.3.The theoretical role of ACTH in preventing scarring and contracture in such a case is discussed.
