Bis(2-chloroethoxy)dichlorotitanium(IV) and bis(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy) dichlorotitanium(IV) have been prepared. The presence of new band around 510–540 cm−1 in their i.r. spectra suggest them to be dimeric through alkoxy bridges. They form solid adducts with acetonitrile and pyridines having 1:1 and 1:2 stoichiometry, respectively, which have been characterized from analyses and i.r. data.
