The reaction of oligomerization ofphenylglycidyl ether on exposure to 2-dimethylaminomethylphenol at 120°C has been studied. Mass spectroscopy, GPC and GLC, IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis were used to identify the oligomerization products and evaluate their molecular mass characteristics. It is shown that the main fraction is formed by the oligomer 1-phenoxypropane-2,3-diol bifunctional in respect of the terminal hydroxyl groups, the share of the oligomers 1,3-diphenoxypropane-2-ol and 1-dimethylamino-3-phenoxypropane-2-ol being substantially smaller than with use of dimethylbenzylamine.
