In order to improve the activity, selectivity and physical properties of iron antimonate fluid-bed catalysts, the reactions which take place during preparation are clarified and promoter effects have been investigated. Selecting appropriate promoters leads to practical iron antimonate fluid-bed catalysts for various types of ammoxidation. A useful in situ re-generation method suitable for fluid-bed ammoxidation is also presented.
