Copper(II) complexes of methamphetamine and N-methylphenethylamine

New copper(II) chloride (bromide) complexes with dl-methamphetamine, d-methamphetamine and N-methylphenethylamine are reported. These have been examined by IR and electronic spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, DTA, and solution molar conductance experiments. The spectral data are discussed in terms of molecular geometries which, in several cases have been determined by single crystal X-ray analysis.
