The first total synthesis of the aquatic peptide microcin (cas 1403-96-9) SF608 isolated from the cyanobacterium Microcystis aeruginosa is outlined in this chapter. The peptide natural product has been reported to possess potent serine protease trypsin inhibitory activity.
