Study of Langmuir and Langmuir–Blodgett films of indium arachidate

Langmuir isotherms of a trivalent indium arachidate monolayer and its Langmuir–Blodgett deposition are reported. Transferred multilayers were characterised by Fourier transform infrared and X-ray diffraction measurements. Results indicate that the film consists mainly of arachidate salt in a layered structure. © 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
