The synthesis of 1-(4-substituted)butyl derivatives of amides of 7-methyl-3-phenyl-2,4-dioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine-5-carboxylic acid and the results of the preliminary pharmacological screening are described in this paper. Some of them showed a weak analgesic action and caused suppression of the spontaneous locomotor activity of mice.
