APPLICATION: FR 83-7124 29 Apr 1983. PRIORITY: DE 82-3216735 5 May 1982. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 19 (Fertilizers, Soils, and Plant Nutrition) Section cross-reference(s): 49 Fertilizer salt contg. 3 60% K2O is obtained from crude salt of sylvinitic K by (1) treating the crushed salt with fatty acid mixt. 50-100 and salicylic acid [69-72-7] 50-100 g/ton, triboelec. charging the salts, and sending them, with recycling of product, to free-fall electrostatic separator; (2) treating a preconcd. product from the neg. electrode with 100-300 g silicic acid/ton, charging the product triboelec. and sending it to an electrostatic separator; and (3) taking the concd.Several reagents with their cas registry numbers 69-72-7 and 1343-98-2 are used here. product near the neg. electrode, sending it, with recycling of product, to a free-fall electrostatic separator, and obtaining the fertilizer salt near the neg. electrode. Thus, 100 ton/h of a crushed (av. 2 mm) salt contg. sylvine [14336-88-0] 41.0, rock salt 55.8, anhydrite 0.3, and clay 2.9% by wt. was mixed with 75 g silicic acid [sic]/ton and a mixt. of C10-C15 fatty acids. The mixt. was sent to a fluidized bed dryer and then loaded in a free-fall separator with an electrostatic field of 4-4.5 kV/cm. Preconcd. product obtained at the neg. electrode was triboelec. charged and sepd. electrostatically. The product drawn off at the neg. electrode was again loaded on the separator; fertilizer salt contg. 60.4% K2O and 0.5% clay was obtained at the neg. electrode at the rate of 38.9 ton/h. K2O yield in the product was 90.7%, and clay yield in discarded residue was 93.3%. .
- Bile salts are endogenous mild irritants to rat gastric mucosa
- Bile salts are endogenous mild irritants to rat gastric mucosa. Takeuchi, K.; Nobuhara, Y.; Okabe, S. (Dep. Appl. Pharmacol., Kyoto Coll. Pharm., Kyoto 607, Japan). Mech. Mucosal Prot. Some commonly used reagents like 64-19-7 and 69-72-7 are used in this experiment. Upper Gastrointest. Tract, 335-9. Edited by: Allen, Adrian. Raven: New York, N. Y. (English) 1984. CODEN: 50WXA8. DOCUMENT TYPE: Conference CA Section: 14 (Mammalian Pathological Biochemistry) Application of 1-20 mM taurocholate to rat stomachs in vivo caused a dose-dependent redn. of transmucosal p.d. (PD) and an increase in luminal pH. The latter was inhibited by pretreatment with indomethacin (5 mg/kg). Gastric lesions induced by abs. ethanol, 25% NaCl, 0.2 N NaOH, or boiling water were prevented by pretreatment with 20 mM taurocholate. Other mild irritants such as 1M NaCl, 1% acetic acid, and 40 mM salicylate also produced a redn. of PD, increase of luminal pH, and inhibition of ethanol-induced gastric lesions. Indomethacin inhibited both the increase of pH and inhibition of the lesions obsd. in the so-treated rats, except for salicylate. 40 MM aspirin had an insignificant effect on luminal pH and ethanol-induced gastric lesions, despite a marked redn. of PD. Thus, taurocholate mildly irritates gastric mucosa and enhances the release of endogenous prostaglandins, and the indomethacin-sensitive gastric alk. response occurs in the stomach exposed to mild irritants. .
