- Chemical Detergents Can Cause Cancer
-
In our daily life, many things can endanger our health and cause cancer. Even chemical detergents used in everyday life can cause cancer. According to the research in Japan, chemical detergents have caused great danger to the human health. People must be rather carefully when they use chemical detergents.
Chemical detergents are the necessary things in our daily life. We must use washing-up liquid to clean dinnerware, use washing powder to wash clothes and use toilet cleaners to clean the toilet. However, these detergents are rather harmful. If the toxins contained in chemical detergents enter the human body, they can lower the concentration of calcium ions in the blood and acidize the blood. In addition, the toxins can also reduce the human immunity, worsen the diseases of hepatic cells and induce cancer.
Chemical detergents are the secondary products of developing petrolic wastes. Because of the solubility, people have nearly forgotten the real nature of chemical detergents. At the same time, because of low cost and nice scourability, chemical detergents are rather popular among people. In fact, the wash removability of chemical detergents comes from surface active agent. Surface active agent can effectively reduce surface tension and make chemical detergent penetrate into gaps of fibers to remove the dirt from the gaps. However, chemical detergents can be left in these gaps to enter the human body or stay in the human skin.
Take washing powder as an example. As one of the main compositions of washing powder, sodium alkyl benzene sulfonate is a kind of surface active agent. It can seriously cause cancer by strengthening carcinogenic substances. In addition, benzene is a kind of fat-soluble substance which can stimulate the skin and cause pruritus. It can even cause many skin diseases. Even optical bleaching agent contained in washing powder can cause cancer. It can make the cells inside the human body distorted to cause dermatitis and pruritus.
When people are making use of these chemical detergents to wash clothes, tableware or the hair, chemical toxins have entered the human body though tens of thousands of pores. These toxins can be accumulated inside the human body to endanger the human health. However, these toxins can not be found in a short period. Once they are found, serious results have been caused. Therefore, in order to keep healthy, people should buy the ones the quality of which have acknowledged by the government and the public.
