  • Because of its abundant nutrition and benefits for our health, yogurt has become a common drink in our daily life. However, many people simply think that the more yogurt they drink, the healthier they would be. They hardly realize that, in fact, the way how they drink yogurt is also very important. Here are some suggestions on how to drink yogurt more nutritiously.

    First, it is better to drink yogurt in the morning.
    Drinking yogurt at the breakfast can provide beneficial bacteria to the intestinal tract, stimulating the peristalsis of intestines, so as to promote defecation. It is recommended to drink yogurt according to the daily necessary amount of milk, with one glass every morning and every night before going to bed respectively.

    Second, eat some fruits when drinking yogurt.
    The nutrition of yogurt is very comprehensive, only with one problem--the lack of vitamin C. So if yogurt can be collocated with fruits, it will both improve the taste and nutrition of yogurt. For example, you can add fruits such as apples, pears, strawberries, oranges and so on. Before adding these fruits in the yogurt, you can put them in the lemon water, which can avoid the oxidation and blackening of the fruits. Or you can add some fresh juice or jam in yogurt, to make the fruit yogurt of your own favorite flavor.

    Third, yogurt can be made into salad dressing.
    Another easy way is to add all kinds of sauces in the plain yogurt and make it into salad dressing. For example, plain yogurt with passion fruit juice can be made into the "healthy-type salad dressing". Or you can add olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, chopped red tomato, plus a little black pepper in the yogurt, which can be made into the "Mediterranean style salad dressing". All these salad dressing can be applied with lettuce, fruits, biscuits, bread and so on.

    Fourth, yoghurt can also be added in the dishes.
    Whether you are cooking soup, baking cakes, or making curry rice, if you add some yogurt, it will make the food taste much more different. But many people may be worried that, when the yogurt is heated, the viable bacteria in it will be killed and the yogurt will lose its original effects. To some extent, it is true. But a lot of other nutrients in yogurt such as protein and fiber are still there, so it can also play the effect of cleaning the intestinal tract. The only thing is the lack of the efficacy of lactic acid bacteria.
