Parents like to buy lots of various snacks for their children, such as jelly. The taste of jelly is very nice, so jelly is very popular among children. Many parents like to buy jelly for their children. In fact, jelly is not beneficial to the health of children. Eating jelly frequently can reduce the appetite of children and affect the balanced absorption of the nutrients. Thus, a kind of acid constitution of children can be caused and the future health of children is seriously endangered.
Many parents think that jelly is made of various fruits and contains abundant vitamins. Eating jelly should accelerate the healthy growth of their children. In fact, this is absolutely wrong. Jelly is not made of fruits, and main compositions of jelly are alginate, agar, gelatin, essence and pigment. and agar are dietary fibers, and the excessive intake of them can affect the absorption of fat and protein by the human body and integrate inorganic salts like iron and zinc together to produce dissoluble or soluble mixtures. The long-term intake of jelly can cause abnormal taste, allotriophagy and some other diseases. Essence contained in jelly to make jelly smell nice is composed of compounds like fat and aldehyde which are dissolved in alcohol. At the same time, pigment can make the color of jelly bright and attractive. However, pigment is made of coal tar. Essence and pigment has no nutritional value at all, and the long-term intake of them can seriously endanger the human health. Therefore, the compositions of jelly are not beneficial to accelerate the healthy growth of children at all. The ability of detoxification and discharge of small children is relatively low, which can cause the toxins to accumulate inside the body to hinder the normal metabolism. The accumulated toxins can even destroy the barrier of gastric mucosa and cause gastric inflammation. The serious result caused by jelly can not be ignored by children and parents.
In order to help children keep healthy, parents should arrange the balanced diet and provide fresh vegetables and fruits for children. Jelly is not a good choice both for parents and for children. Many health problems can be caused after a long-term intake of jelly. One marketing executive of a factory which produces jelly never let his child eat jelly. Now, parents should understand the reason. Therefore, all the parents should keep the children away from jelly.
