  • How to Eat Healthily in Winter?
  • First, do not drink tea immediately after eating dog meat.
Dog is not only nutritious, but also can produce a lot of heat, so it is very beneficial for people who are physically weak or patients suffering from arthritis. However, you should pay attention not to drink tea immediately after you have eat dog meat. This is because the tannic acid in tea will combine with the protein in dog meat, and generate a substance which has a certain astringent effect. This substance can weaken the peristalsis of the intestines. Therefore, the toxic and carcinogenic substances in the stool will stay too long in the intestines and can easily be absorbed by the body. As a result, do not drink tea immediately after eating dog meat.

Second, do not drink too hot beverages.
Drinking beverages with excessively high temperature can cause damages on the mucous membrane of the skin. When the temperature reaches 43 degrees Celsius, the protein will begins to denature; and when it is above 47 degrees Celsius, all the blood cells, cultured cells and transplanted organs will die. As a result, do not often drink too hot beverages in winter.

Third, do not eat too many oranges.
Orange contains a lot of calories, so eating too many oranges at one time will bring too much heat to the body, and lead to symptoms such as parched mouth and scorched tongue, sore throat and so on. Therefore, you should pay attention not to eat too many oranges.

Fourth, do eat the salted vegetables which are not pickled thoroughly.
If the salted vegetables are not pickled thoroughly, they will contain large quantities of nitrite. When the nitrite enters into the blood circulation of human body, it will oxidize the normal low-iron hemoglobin into methemoglobin, making the red blood cells lose their function of carrying the oxygen. This will further lead to systemic hypoxia, chest tightness, shortness of breath, fatigue, lassitude and other symptoms. What's more, the nitrite amine compounds are carcinogenic substances.

Fifth, do not eat sweet potato with black spot.
If the sweet potato appears brown or black on the surface, this means it has been contaminated by the alternaria brassicicola. The toxins discharged by alternaria brassicicola contain sweet potato ketone alcohol, which will make the sweet potato become bitter and hard, and bring harms to human liver. The biological activity of this toxin can not be destroyed no matter by boiling and steaming with water, or roasting with fire. As a result, eating the sweet potato with black spots can cause poisoning.
