- Secrets of Having Good Memories
-
No matter old men, kids, or young people, all want super good memories. But it is widely believed that good memories are connected to genes. However, some new researches find it is possible to improve the memory ability by some ways.
Roll your eyeballs: according to English researchers, one’s memory ability can be improved if he rolls his eyeballs towards the left and right. If one wants to recall something, he probably gets it after rolling his eyeballs for about 30 seconds.
When one rolls eyeballs, his left brain interacts with the right one and thus helps recalling. When eyeballs are rolled towards the left, the right brain is stimulated and when eyeballs are rolled towards the right, the left brain is stimulated. Thus, when they are rolled both towards the left and the right, the left brain interacts with the right brain, improving memories.
Breathe fresh air: researchers at University of Michigan found that breathing fresh air in the countryside or the park helps improve memories. They think the noise of the city influences people’s memories and attentions greatly while Nature calms them down, and thus helps them concentrate.
Eat more blueberries: anthocyanin in blueberries helps old people improve memories. Researchers divided a few over 70 years old people into two groups and carried out an experiment for 12 weeks. One group drank two or two and a half cups blueberry juice every day and the other group did not drink it. As a result, old people who drank blueberry juice have improved their memories significantly while the others haven’t. Thus, eating more blueberries can slow down the degradation of nerves and improve memories.
Have a good breakfast: a research carried out in Toronto, Canada found that people who have the habit of eating breakfast among 61- 79 years old have higher scores in test of memory. And kids who have breakfast do better in exams.
Chat more frequently: maybe somebody would think it is a waste of time to chat with others. However, American scientists found that chatting with others often can train the brain and improve the IQ, and thus have a good memory. Therefore, we suggest people stick to talk with others at least for 10 minutes.
Eat some food that helps improve memories: first, apples. There is anti-oxidant which increases acetylcholine, improving memories. Second, cabbages are rich in vitamin b which prevents the brain strain. Third, beans contain much protein and lecithin which improves memories. Fourth, milk is rich in protein and calcium. What’s more, it provides various amino acids. Thus, drinking milk every day can improve the vitality of the brain. Fifth, yolk contains lecithin and many other substances that the brain cells need. Sixth, fungi contain much protein, fat, polyose, minerals, and vitamins. They are the best food for brain care.
