The solution is acidic which can concrete protein. This chemical is hygroscopic and will convert into red brown liquid in the air.
Preparation of Ferric chloride hexahydrate: In industry, hydrochloric acid reacts with scrap iron in the reactor to genereate ferrous chloride solution, which is defecated to react with chlorine gas and form ferric trichloride solution. And then, the crude mixture is purified, filtered and dried to gain the end product of Ferric chloride hexahydrate.
Fe + 2 HCl → FeCl2 + H2O
2 FeCl2 + C12 → 2 FeCl3
