(1R,5S,7S)-(+)-endo-Brevicomin (7-ethyl-5-methyl-6,8-dioxabicyclo<3.2.1>octane) and its (1S,5R,7R)-(-)-isomer were synthesized employing the Sharpless asymmetric epoxidation as the key-step.
