Several N-monoacylated and N,N'-diacylated perimidones were synthesized by quenching the intermediate resulting from the reaction between perimidone and n-butyllithium with the corresponding acylating reagent.The reactions were carried out under inert atmosphere in tetrahydrofuran at 0 deg C.The prepared derivatives were identified on the bases of their NMR, IR, and elemental analysis data.
