Synthesis and characterisation of a series of η³-allylbis(triphenylphosphite)nickel(II) complexes X with the anions X^- = PF6^-, B(O2C6H4)2^-, BF4^-, AlBr4^-, CH3CH4SO3^-, Cl^-, Br^-, I^- is described.Conductivity measurements and 13C NMR spectroscopy confirmed increasing coordination of the anion in the given series, which is accompanied by some inhibition, to a greater or lesser extent, of the catalytic activity of the complexes in stereospecific butadiene polymerization.
