one-pot synthesis of highly functionalized vinylogous thiol esters
3 involves a novel mechanism of base induced ring opening of
cyclohexenone derivatives 2. The simplicity of execution, high
yields, and promising synthetic applications of the products make
the protocol very attractive.14,15 Further studies are in progress.
