New 4-germa-spiro<3,4>oct-6-enes are formed under mild conditions by the cyclic diaminogermylene (1) <5> with 1,3-butadienes, 1-oxa- or 1-aza-1,3-butadienes, 1,2-diketones of 1,4-diaza-1,3-butadienes in high yields.
