4H-1,3-Oxathiins are obtained by an high yield heterocycloaddition of thiones with vinyltrimethylsilylketone, behaving as heterodiene. 4H-1,3 Oxathiins can be oxidized to the corresponding S-oxides, which are the formal cycloadducts of sulphines.
