Condensation of 4-vinylpyridine with 4,4'-<(4-bromophenyl)methylene>bis and its N-ethyl analogue adopting Heck's reaction yielded corresponding new styrylpyridines which were converted into their pyridinium bromides.All the compounds reported were characterized by analytical and spectral data.
