the metallo-enol ester form of the complex trans-[Ru(κ2-O2CR)
(OC{Me}OCCHPh)(PR3)2] may also be present in rapid
equilibrium with the vinylidene complex. It is possible that this
equilibrium is an additional factor in the observed changes in chemical
shift.
